Maison des LandesCountry house and villa styling

One document before many drawings.

Estate briefs that align owners, houses, and priorities.

An estate brief gathers how you live across buildings: main house, guest wing, kitchen garden edge, and which rooms must be ready for harvest season guests. It prevents styling one salon beautifully while ignoring how trays reach it.

What we collect

Family rhythms, hosting frequency, pets, staff if any, and rooms that stay closed in winter. Photographs and rough plans accelerate accuracy.

Outputs

A written brief with priority order, budget bands in euros, and suggested package scopes from our pricing list. You may stop at the brief or continue into full schemes.

Who joins the conversation

Partners and adult family members who veto colours later should speak now. We note disagreements plainly so design does not paper over them.

Timing

Most briefs complete within two weeks after the site visit or a thorough photo set. Complex multi-building estates may need a second walk.

Briefs sometimes reveal that the “guest wing” is actually the teenagers’ permanent floor. Naming real use saves money on ceremonial furniture nobody sits in. We keep language plain so architects and gardeners can reuse the same document.
